Asbestos at Work
All businesses should be aware of the legislation relating to asbestos at work, in particular the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, specifically regulation 4, which requires duty-holders to take all ‘reasonable steps' to find any materials in the premises likely to contain asbestos and to check their current condition.
Essentially, this means that you should carry out investigative research and a physical survey to determine if any asbestos materials are present in buildings for which you are responsible.
